Check out AlphaLearnr. It's a flickr mashup that uses photos to teach children the English alphabet. Some of the photo choices for letters are very good, horse for H and quartz for Q; yet others make no sense, like images of birds for the word Kite.

I like this- it's good for literacy groups. Like Sadie too (that's my grandma's name and also my alter ego for internet use).
